So... who is Mister E and why is he making these recommendations?

Mister E is an I.T. Professional with over 22 years experience and is a prolific user of software, hardware and services both professionally and at home.  He is also the I.T. Support Guy for family, friends, and others and has had to find cheap (read: usually free) applications and services to serve the needs of these.

This site is primarily focused on sharing these recommendations, and to assist in making his non-working life easier through being able to direct the aforementioned friends and family here instead of spending lots of time explaining which URLs provide which software.
